Code of Conduct
Expectations
These are the expectations we hold all members of APST to. While there is no requirement for strict adherence, bending them too far or too often will violate the expectation.
Good attitude about Airsoft and sportsmanship. Open communication. No horseplay or irresponsible pranks. Personal relationships do not interfere with the team. Clean language. You represent APST at games, be professional. Be there! Attend one game each month, attend one practice and one meeting per quarter, and participate in administering one hosted game every six months.
Responsibilities
These are strict rules that we expect each member to take responsibility for following. These are necessary in order to maintain good order and professionalism, and being unable to follow them means you are not APST quality material.
Maintain your weapon and gear in top shape, this includes having your batteries charged before games and having spares on hand if needed Treat all Airsoft guns like real steel guns (see below) Presentable in uniform at APST games Always “on duty” when officially present at a game Honesty To maintain standard safety rules and ensure that others do the same
Firearms Code of Conduct
Treating your Airsoft gun like real steel is fairly straightforward. The guidelines for this are:
Obey all state laws regarding real steel. This means no firing on or over roads, within 150 feet of a campground or facility, and no firing from or at vehicles (that are not part of the game of course!) Do not point your weapon at anyone unless you intend to fire it at them. When intending to fire at anyone, make sure you are doing it responsibly (ie. Part of the game and not as a joke, prank, or for fun, and making sure they are giving you permission to fire at them). Only firing at intended targets, not spraying fire wildly, at inanimate objects or wildlife, etc. Keep your gun muzzled (safety tip on) when not in use, and when carrying your weapon making sure that it is not pointed at anyone else or in a direction that could accidentally point it at someone else (like carrying it pointed at head level) Do not abuse your gun. Keep it clean, keep it tidy, and most of all make sure it is secure.
APST Standard Safety Rules
The following is a list of the safety rules that we will follow and expect others at our games and events to follow.
Always wear face protection (goggles/shooting glasses minimum) when on the battlefield Airsoft guns are not to be shot in the deadpool Do not shoot at anyone without the proper face protection Do not point your gun or shoot at people unless you are in a game and intend to shoot them No alcohol or drugs of any kind No unnecessarily dangerous stunts or activities No weapons are to be fired when non-players wander into the battlefield All weapons are to be secured in boxes, carrying cases, or bags while off the battlefield
